The Pre-Hospital Medical Emergencies Department is one of the educational programs recognized by the Ministry of Health. Graduates of this program serve as essential members of the healthcare team, responsible for providing medical services to emergency patients and individuals injured in accidents, incidents, and disasters before they arrive at hospitals or clinics, following established protocols. As active operational members, these graduates are trained and prepared to assist injured individuals during crises and unforeseen events. In Iran, medical universities offer programs in pre-hospital medical emergencies at both the associate and bachelor’s degree levels. Asadabad School of Medical Sciences has been accepting students into the associate degree program since 2013 and began accepting students into the bachelor’s degree in 2024.
