Public Health

Public health is a vital branch of health sciences dedicated to the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of community health. Students in this field are trained to uphold the belief that health is a fundamental right for all individuals. Graduates are expected to be community-oriented, forward-thinking, and equipped with the strategies and technologies necessary to engage the public in health initiatives. They are encouraged to foster intra- and inter-departmental collaboration while emphasizing justice and human equality, all while considering national and regional priorities to deliver effective health services. Public health services are provided in an integrated manner, requiring graduates to acquire multidisciplinary knowledge and skills. The Public Health Department has been training students in this field since 2010, offering bachelor’s degrees with two majors: Public Health and School Health. To date, eight cohorts of students have graduated from this program.
