Midwifery is a vital field within the medical sciences, playing a critical role in various areas such as counseling, education, care, support, therapy, and research focused on women’s health. Graduates at the undergraduate level are trained to support safe natural vaginal deliveries, diagnose abnormalities in mothers, fetuses, or infants, and provide emergency care to enhance the health of mothers, fetuses, and infants. Their responsibilities include offering comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum care, caring for infants, educating on sexual and reproductive health, and counseling women on medication prescriptions.
